Let me take a minute to gush about the utterly romantic escapade Calum and I embarked on at the heart of Center Parcs Sherwood Forest. But oh, was it worth every penny!

Calum, being the absolute gem that he is, decided to spoil me with an early Valentine's treat (I know, I'm super lucky!). We opted for the executive lodge, which set us back about £419 for a 4-night stay. Now, this didn't cover the extras like food and activities, but let me tell you, the place was nothing short of a dream. It was the epitome of homeliness, with a sprinkle of luxury that made us feel like royalty in our little forest haven.

Not saying I have the most romantic best boyfriend in the world, but I do, we stayed in Cedar!

So I’m not very good at pictures sometimes, but in the Jardin des Sports section, quite a bit away from the main village, but next to the spa, they have the sports bar, rock climbing, badminton, and a starbucks and arcades, not matter where you go, feel great running and laughing!

As the sun sets, it's time to hit the badminton court for a friendly rally. Whether you're playing doubles or singles, this game is sure to test your stamina and speed. And who knows, you might even hit a thousand rallies just like we did!

Sometimes just relaxing and taking time as a couple is all you need, and center parcs did just that.

First things first, don't forget to pack some scrumptious treats for your trip. Trust us, nothing beats cuddling up with your loved one, munching on your favorite snacks, and watching the squirrels play outside your window. And guess what? I love that you can see the stars, I don’t know alot about space, but it always feels so magical just being a part of it

Picture this: you and your sweetheart, roasting marshmallows (grabbed from the village shop, which is basically a giant co-op) by the fire, sharing giggles and sweet kisses. Oh, and don't forget those night walks, where the world seems to stand still, and it's just the two of you, hand in hand, wandering under the moonlit canopy.

Tip #4: Embrace the Little Moments

Little moments to me, well it means laying in bed, after cycling, badminton, and yummy food, talking about our future, and cuddling up, just being happy.

But hey, it's not all about the grand adventures, right? Sometimes, the most precious moments are the simple ones: cuddling in bed, watching the birds flutter by, or simply enjoying each other's company. So, don't rush, take your time to soak in the beauty around you, and let love blossom naturally.

After a dreamy couple's retreat, it was time to switch gears and embrace the joyous chaos and laughter that comes with a family vacation. This time, we were a lively group of five, including Calum's mum and dad, his younger brother, the great photographer Grant, and yours truly!

But that's not all; we embraced the outdoors by renting bikes, a cost-effective and fun way to explore the surroundings. And if you have little ones, don't worry, they have these cool pulley things that let the kids relax while you pedal away. It's a win-win!

Aqua Sana Spa - A Day of Pampering!

Calum's mum and I decided to treat ourselves to a day at the Aqua Sana Spa. From various spa experiences to indulgent treatments, it was a day of relaxation and bonding.

Need some time to rest away from the kids, well give them to dad and relax!

Electric Boats - A Peaceful Cruise!

All electric powered, it doesn’t go very fast, 3mph, but for safety reasons it was fun, and I enjoyed the nature and the vibe of it!

Lastly, Calum and I took a moment to fulfill a dream - a peaceful cruise around the lake in a state-of-the-art electric boat. A perfect way to soak in the stunning scenery and enjoy each other's company.

Have lunch or dinner here, near the courtyard area, where there is a fun maze and play area for the kids, and yes, take that coffee and relax, I know you need it!

For a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, the Foresters' Inn was our go-to. A tuna and cheese panini here, with the kids having a blast in the nearby maze, made for a perfect afternoon.

A bit further from the main village, but just as nice, please take a look at some yummy brunches, and dinners. I highly suggest any sandwich,they are all so nice.

Huck's American Bar and Grill

This is what I mean, see that bowl of my chili, yep, HOT, Calum loved the American style ribs though, loved it!

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: Huck's! From the mouth-watering ribs to the fiery chili (a bit too fiery for my taste, but hey, no regrets!), this place was a hit. And their pizzas? Simply divine.

As someone who is allergic to coconut I made extra sure, and the staff do too! And it wasn’t spicy, I did it!

For those who have a penchant for spicy and flavorful dishes, Rajinda Pradesh is your go-to spot. This place is a haven for Indian cuisine lovers, offering a rich array of dishes packed with authentic Indian ingredients. And guess what? They are incredibly accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. I have a coconut allergy, and they went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Calum, on the other hand, practically sampled the entire menu and loved every bit of it!

Now I know this isn’t food, but the sports bar and Cafe Rouge, do some INCREDIBLE margaritas!! And Cosmos!!

What to Bring 🎒

I just want to say, you’re my favorite.

- Swimwear: Because you won't want to miss that pool! (You can purchase swimwear in the store, but you’ll be paying a premium for them)

- Snacks: Especially if you have specific dietary needs.

What Not to Bring 🚫

Now, don’t bring too much, let the kids run free and enjoy it! We all need to get off our phones!!
